Monarch Butterfly. Danaus Plexippus

Such a pretty species of butterfly! The Monarch Butterfly  (Danaus Plexippus) 

They originate from Northern America and were introduced to Australia in the 1870s. Their scientific name "Danaus Plexippus"  is Greek for “sleepy transformation” and refers to the transformation process that happens in the chrysalis stage of its life.

Handmade to an excellent standard here in the UK to an excellent standard by our entomologist.  Mounted in our quality Acrylic Frame with a solid glass front. Expertly  showcased and protected ready for you to showcase in your home.

Display: This display has a wall hanging clip mounted on the back of the frame and a fitted stand for you to easily showcase in your home.

We recommend you do not leave your framed insect display in direct sunlight in your home. This can cause your butterfly or moth to fade over time. 

All of our frames are handmade in the United Kingdom and fully sealed to make sure your specimen is protected to be admired for many years to come.
